Remodelling That Respects the Original Garment
Every project begins with an assessment of the garment, its construction, and the result you want to achieve. That review helps define what can be changed, what should be preserved, and where the material may limit the redesign.
For remodelling work, the design is approved before sewing begins. If additional work becomes necessary, it is discussed first so the scope stays clear and the agreed direction remains intact.
Clear scope, careful fitting, and design choices shaped by the fabric you already have.
Stitch Haven works with garments that need a new life, a better fit, or a more wearable shape.
We work on dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets, and selected vintage pieces, as well as upcycling projects that turn usable fabric into new accessories. When available, original thread and trim are matched to keep the finish consistent.
A final fit or finish review is part of the process, and collection includes a last check so any small adjustment can be handled carefully. The result depends on the garment’s condition, seam allowances, and available fabric, so each piece is handled realistically.
